Photography Competitions Network (PCN) works closely with thousands of competition organisers from around the world to bring you the very latest, and the very best, open photo contests.
It can be very difficult locating open photo contests, and it can be even more difficult finding the important information about the contest, on the contest website, even terms and conditions can be hidden, this is why we provide openness and transparency to you, our readers.
We publish relevant information such as the cost of entry, along with the deadline, the copyright and usage rights required by the organiser, a link to the organisers terms and conditions, plus lots of other information, such as prizes, eligibility, winner selection process and the theme.
With so much information it can be overwhelming with choice, so we also provide you with tools to help you find what you’re looking for. You can list photo contests by the latest published or by deadline, you can list them by theme or prizes, and you can list them by free to enter or Pay to enter or even by eligibility.
We are very much aware of photographer rights and we do not list photo contests that require the entrant to transfer ownership of the copyright to the organiser or sponsors. We provide transparency to help protect photographers and to highlight to organisers the need for fair terms and conditions for their photo contests.
Every contest listed on PCN has details relating to the competitions terms and conditions for the benefit of the photographer. The photographer should not solely rely on this information and should obtain full details of the terms and conditions and to seek legal advice if required before entering any contest.
Our long term goal is to only list open photo contests with fair terms and conditions for photographers, and we believe the transparency we provide is a step in this direction.
